Prenatal Massage

Fertile Ground is home to Denver's prenatal massage specialist!  Massage during pregnancy not only makes a woman feel pampered, but offers physical benefits as well.  Prenatal massage offers the following benefits:
  • Counters the harmful effects of stress during pregnancy
  • Relieves fatigue and enhances sleep
  • Alleviates the common discomforts of pregnancy such as sciatica, low back, pelvic, hip, and round ligament pain
  • Prepares the muscles for the birth process by releasing tension in the low back and hips

Maya Abdominal Massage can be incorporated into prenatal massage after 20 weeks.  Prenatal massage can help with labor preparation and stimulating contractions after 40 weeks.

Fertile Ground is home to two of Denver's prenatal massage specialists!

Breast Cancer Recovery

Massage therapy can be very beneficial after recovery from Breast Cancer.  Mastectomy surgery often decreases range of motion in the shoulder but massage can help relieve some of this tension and improve mobility.  Lymph drainage is also helpful in reducing the chance of edema after the removal of lymph nodes.  Erin Aufdemberge has been trained in massage techniques specific to the needs of a woman recovering from Breast Cancer.

Massage can help increase shoulder mobility affected by mastectomy surgery and increase lymph drainage
